Abstract
The cultural conditions for kojic acid production from two local fungal isolates Aspergillus
fumigatus(24) and A.flavus(29) were studied . The results showed that the optimum conditions were
using a medium containing clarified molasses 4.2% reducing sugars supplemented with ammonium
sulfate (0.25 and 0.1)% , KH2PO4 0.1% , MgSO4.7H2O 0.05% , adjusted to pH (6 and 4.5) , and
inoculated with ( 4×107 and 4×108)spore/ml , respectively.
