The study detected the effect of dried Citrus aurantifolial on lab mice. Flagile was used in
addition to the control solution (physiological solution) and the results were as follows: The dried
lemon extract 3000mg/kg.is more efficient to exterminate the dysentery compared with the
metronidazole(flagile)and this affirms that the water extract of dried Citrus aurantifolial
3000mg./kg. is the best drug to treat the dysentery.The 2000mg./kg. extract came next where it
showed high treatment efficiency notably during the second day and finally the 1000mg./kg.
extract came last which is the least effective in treating dysentery during the 6th day.As regards
the flagile, it was very effective during the fourth day.It was noticed,during a study of mice liver
and intestine tissues that a kind of ulcer occurs in the intestine tissues of the mice when they
catch the Entamoeba histolytica disease(dysentery) with a hypoxia,necosis, hypertrophy, and a
congestion of blood vessels, and an increase in the cell size and spleen.There are significant
differences for the dried Citrus aurantifolialextract
