Course Description
To understand types of antibiotics, its usage, isolation, purification and characterization of antibiotics; classification, structural and functional properties; mode of action and modes of resistance from the biochemical point of view.
Class aims are familiarization with the principles and practice of antibiotic therapy
based on studying the major antibiotics and their properties and how to utilize and
consider these properties for selection of appropriate antibiotic therapy.
