The Internal Audit and Control Department is responsible for auditing the college’s accounts before and after expenditure, including final accounts, in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, and generally accepted accounting principles. The department follows up on advance accounts and reconciles them, as well as monitors the journal and ledger records, audits the cash funds from both the (current account and education fund), as well as evening programs and postgraduate studies. It also prepares periodic reports to the university administration, conducts inventory checks, and reconciles them with stock records. The department ensures the regular rotation of committees and monitors financial allocations and expenditure according to the approved budget. Additionally, it verifies the auditing of salaries for all employees, contract salaries, follows up on unpaid salaries, and ensures their return within a specified time. It also ensures all monthly deductions are accurate, confirms the calculation of allowances and promotions for all faculty employees, and verifies that purchases are made according to issued regulations and laws. The department also ensures that procurement committees fulfill their tasks before the legal deadlines, audits the bank statements for the (current account and education fund), and checks the preparation of the trial balance, along with the general journal and entrusted funds.
