Department Tasks and Duties:

  1. Participating in investigative committees and handling legal matters between the college and its staff.

  2. Providing legal opinions and consultations, and responding to legal inquiries.

  3. Drafting, organizing, and notarizing contracts, agreements, guarantees, and commitments related to the college’s operations.

  4. Notarizing guarantees and study-related commitments, both within Iraq and abroad.

  5. Providing legal consultations to the college’s departments.

  6. Managing administrative matters related to the legal affairs department.

  7. Archiving all minutes of investigative committees and student discipline committees.

  8. Approving contracts signed by the college, commitments, faculty loans, and employee advances, and maintaining a special record for these documents.

  9. Reviewing government departments for completing the college’s legal affairs, as required.

  10. Attending meetings of legal affairs department heads at the university presidency.

  11. Maintaining a special register for contracts and their implications (including the names of the parties, contract duration, amount, and obligations of both parties), and certifying these contracts.
