During the activities of the Babylon International Arts and Cultures Festival, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed on working to establish partnerships and exchange international experiences with global institutions, enhance the competitiveness of universities and improve the quality of education.
Dr. Al-Aboudi highlighted that the international cooperation strategy enabled universities to exchange experiences with their global counterparts and contributed in keeping pace and updating curricula.
His Excellency continued by saying that the Ministry succeeded in implementing the Bologna Process in universities and established an important program to attract international students to study in Iraqi universities, as well as providing training opportunities in reputable international universities through which Iraqi students benefited from diverse educational environments that contributed in developing their scientific and academic skills and abilities.
Dr. Al-Aboudi added that the Ministry is following a regular path to rehabilitate and develop the infrastructure in universities and enhance their absorptive capacity in light of the indicators of a clear increase in the percentage of enrollment in Higher Education’s institutions, as well as concluding scientific twinning programs with a number of international universities in specializations related to comprehensive development.

Dr. Al-Aboudi toured the book fair held within the activities of the Babylon International Arts and Cultures Festival, as well as visiting an art exhibition that included various plastic paintings.
It is worth to be mentioned attendees appreciated the policy of the Ministry and the achievements achieved within the Government program supporting quality requirements that are consistent with global contexts.
