During a meeting with the Council of University of Misan, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi stressed achieving the highest level of institutional integration with the various sectors of the State, enhancing the university’s role in serving society and developing twinning programs with international universities.
Dr. Al-Aboudi called for building positive partnerships and institutional integration with state sectors and contributing to strengthen the university’s role in society according to development requirements that require modernizing graduate programs and the field of specializations to be within the path of development interaction with labor market variables and technological and economic developments that suit the governorate’s environment.
His Excellency said that the indicator of the increasing admission of international students into Iraqi universities, activating of academic twinning programs with international universities and benefiting from their experiences bears a clear indication of the progress of the level of quality in Iraqi university institutions.
Dr. Al-Aboudi added that Iraqi universities have become an attractive study environment, which requires enhancing the completion of urban projects in universities, including classrooms, laboratories and dormitories.
His Excellency highlighted the importance of following up on graduates’ affairs and holding training workshops that pave the way for enrollment in the labor market.
It is worth to be mentioned that the meeting was attended by the Ministry’s Deputy for Scientific Research Affairs and Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate.
