His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi announced the Ministry’s intention to establish a new university in Al-Muthanna Governorate that will be called as (Al-Rumaitha University).
Dr. Al-Aboudi confirmed during a joint press conference with the Governor of Al-Muthanna that this trend comes within the framework of the Ministry’s commitment to providing higher education opportunities and enhancing its fields, especially in Al-Muthanna Governorate, which indicates the need for educational institutions and more supportive efforts to develop and consolidate a sustainable development environment there.
His Excellency added that the policy of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research is moving towards laying new foundations to strengthen the structure of Higher Education and meet the community’s need for specialised services.
For his part, the Governor of AL-Muthanna, Mr. Muhannad Al-Attabi expressed his appreciation for these confident steps in developing university education and creating new institutions that keep pace with the development aspect in the Governorates.
