During Iraqi Engineer’s Day celebration held by the Ministry at University of Baghdad, His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi confirmed continuing developing the engineering education environment, modernizing it, keeping pace with contemporary developments, supporting scientific research in the engineering sectors and meeting the requirements of the growing labor market.
Dr. Al-Aboudi appreciated the tasks of this segment, which has come to play a vital role in covering urban requirements, taking the reins in constructing infrastructure and working hard to innovate technological, industrial and technical solutions.
His Excellency continued that the Ministry is taking diligent steps to develop, modernize and develop the engineering education environment, keep pace with contemporary scientific developments and support the fields of scientific research in the engineering sectors in a way that enhances the outputs of these sectors in order to meet all the requirements of the growing labor market and work to adapt the absorptive capacities in universities and colleges and diversify them in a way that is compatible with distinguished international specialized forums.
It is worth to be mentioned that the ceremony included delivering speeches by Director General of Construction and Projects at the Higher Education and Engineers Syndicate, displaying a film for University Projects and honoring Engineering Presidents of the Universities and Reconstruction Departments in University Institutions.
