During Advisory Board Meeting, Dr. Al-Aboudi Emphasizes Qualitative Excellence in University Performance & Votes on Comprehensive Electronic Transformation of Higher Education & Its Institutions

During chairing the 9th meeting of the Advisory Board 2024His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi stressed the concerted efforts and strengthening of positive steps to achieve the mission of the educational institution and its development goals through the gateway of qualitative excellence in university performance and solid scientific research that embodies and summarizes the identity of Iraqi universities, as well as its missions in providing climates for scientific achievement and serving the community.

Dr. Al-Aboudi said the tireless work of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in internationalizing the university education environment has enhanced the capabilities of university institutions in addressing current challenges and established a direct path to develop scientific institutions and enable them to achieve their goals.

His Excellency urged working with the powers granted to administrative formations and facilitating the completion of procedures according to legal requirements and reducing time and effort in a way that serves the public interest.

The members of the Advisory Board reviewed the items on its agenda and voted on the following decisions:

▪ Approving on the comprehensive electronic transformation of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and its universities, as well as automating its work.

▪ Approving on the disbursement of engineering and professional allocations for holders of higher degrees.

▪ Not to approve and equal the certificate for an employee who provides incorrect information regarding his\her job as not an employee, whether he obtained it inside or outside Iraq.

▪ Exempting students from the tuition disbursed within the context of study fellowships and financial aid for those appointed by the Federal Service Council while they are in the language learning period.

▪ Approval of processing the evaluation of several certificates in light of the exclusive powers of the Advisory Board stipulated by law.

His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi concluded the meeting by saying that the new academic year 2024/2025 represents an important opportunity and window to complete academic programs and embody their effectiveness.

Dr. Al-Aboudi called on all Iraqi university students to continue to excel in this inspiring scientific journey in which knowledge enrichment and community development are achieved.

It is worth to be mentioned that the meeting was attended by all its members from the advanced staff and presidents of public universities.
