Basrah University’s Master’s Dissertation On Preparing & Characterizing of Dihydroxydiazole Derivatives & Studies Their Biological Effectiveness Against Esophageal Cancer

College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Basrah discussed a master dissertation on preparing and characterizing of some dihydroxydiazole derivatives and studies their biological effectiveness against esophageal cancer by the postgraduate student, Ms. Sabreen Mahdi Hassan.

The dissertation reviewed the preparation of ten dihydroxydiazole derivatives using the methods of reduction, ultrasound technology and photochemistry, and a comparison between them.

The dissertation confirmed that the compounds prepared through spectral techniques such as infrared, nuclear magnetic resonance, and mass spectrometry, which studied the biological effectiveness of the prepared derivatives for esophageal cancer cells, that reveal high inhibitory activity against this type of cancer cells.
