Samarra University’s Master’s Dissertation on Quantitative Estimation of Amlodipine & Valsartan Using High-Performance Liquid Chromatography & Spectroscopic Methods

College of Education, Samarra University discussed a master dissertation on the quantitative estimation of amlodipine and valsartan in their pharmaceutical preparations using high-performance liquid chromatography and spectroscopic methods by the postgraduate student, Mr. Qaed Bakr Ali.

The dissertation aimed at developing a high-performance liquid chromatography method with two simple, sensitive and economical spectroscopic methods to quantitatively estimate amlodipine besylate and valsartan in their pure forms and in their pharmaceutical preparations individually and as a binary mixture.

The dissertation highlighted that the spectroscopic method used was fast, simple, sensitive and selective for the estimation of amlodipine besylate in its pharmaceutical preparation “AMADAY 10mg” in the form of pharmaceutical tablets by forming an oxidative coupling complex.

The dissertation reviewed that the proposed method has high accuracy and compatibility and that it is suitable for the estimation of amlodipine besylate in its pure form and in its pharmaceutical preparations in the form of pharmaceutical tablets.
