Al-Qadisiyah University’s Master’s Dissertation: On Structural Behavior of Double-Span Steel Beams Exposed to Out-of-Plane Loads

College of Engineering, University of Al-Qadisiyah discussed a master dissertation on the structural behavior of double-span steel beams subjected to out-of-plane loads by the postgraduate student, Mr. Farouk Abd Al-Khader Abbas.

The dissertation aimed at manufacturing, casting and analyzing the behavior of castellated steel beams built from composite and non-composite materials under two conditions of loading.

The dissertation demonstrated an increase in the torsion of the composite arch beam and the effect of changing the spacing between the double tendons, as well as decreasing in the ultimate load and deflection when the two tendons are brought inward.
