His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi received an official request from the Italian Ambassador to Baghdad, Maurizio Griganti, regarding the Italian University project in Iraq.
Dr. Al-Aboudi reviewed a brief by the Ambassador about the project and its academic specializations that serve the Iraqi environment on the one hand and connect a cultural bridge with the Italian Republic on the other hand.
His Excellency stressed his keenness on inaugurating recognized foreign universities in Iraq and framing scientific cooperation through sustainable partnerships and memorandums of understanding that support twinning programs and joint educational and training opportunities.
For his part, Mr. Maurizio Griganti reviewed that the proposed Italian university will take a specialized approach in the fields of engineering.
Mr. Maurizio Griganti expressed his country’s readiness on developing scientific and cultural cooperation through specific study programs that are consistent with the indicators of Iraqi universities accrediting and new and advanced educational aspects.
