During the activities of the annual 61st anniversary of the College of Languages , His Excellency, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Abd Yaser Al-Aboudi inaugurated a number of buildings of qualified departments in the College of Languages.
Dr. Al-Aboudi stressed on opening the way to recall the history, challenges and achievements made in the environment of higher education and scientific research that has the characteristic of influence and the ability to provide specialized services.
His Excellency reviewed the opportunities for interaction between Iraqi universities and global educational contexts will support research and development and will enhance the capabilities of academic institutions in addressing current and future challenges and provide sufficient vision for developing universities and scientific forums and enabling them to achieve sustainable development goals.
Dr. Al-Aboudi added that the Ministry and all its institutions achieved tangible progress in various aspects of Higher Education over the past two years, as well as indicating a firm commitment to developing the higher education environment and advancing it towards strengthening the aspect of institutional and programmatic performance quality, which has contributed significantly in raising the level of performance and excellence.
The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, inaugurated the Al-Aqsa Mosque mural, the French Language Department building, model classrooms in the English Language Department, and a playground for student activities.
It is worth to be mentioned that the festival included delivering official speeches by the President of the University of Baghdad and the Dean of the College of Languages, as well as honoring the top students in the departments of the College of Languages, holding an exhibition of scientific products and handicrafts for students, displaying a documentary film about the history of the college and its stages of development and a theatrical performance entitled (We are all Gaza and Lebanon).
