The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research announced that The Times Higher Education Ranking issued the results of its edition (Interdisciplinary Science Rankings 2025) for the best universities in the field of interdisciplinary scientific research for the year 2025.
Higher Education reviewed that the Interdisciplinary Science Ranking ranked seven hundred and forty-nine universities around the world according to eleven performance indicators in three main fields: (Inputs by19%), (Process by16%) and (Outputs by 65%).
Higher Education highlighted that the results (https://www.timeshighereducation.com/interdisciplinary…) demonstrated that the University of Baghdad obtained the score 161st globally, followed by Cihan University – Erbil University, Al-Mustaqbal University, Babylon University, Technology University, Anbar University, Al-Nahrain University, Al-Farahidi University, Al-Furat Al-Awsat technical University, Tikrit University, Diyala University and Wasit University
Higher Education added that the Ninety-two countries competed in this ranking, which is the first of its kind to measure the contributions of universities and their commitment to multidisciplinary sciences, in terms of the number of their ranked universities, Iraq was represented by twelve universities, making it third among the participating Arab countries and twenty globally, which is the same contribution occupied by Malaysia and Poland.
