To become a member of United Nations Academic Impact Initiative, University of Kerbala has achieved a remarkable international milestone through joining United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and being one of global educational institutions committed to reinforce basic principles of United Nations including areas of human rights, inclusive education, sustainable development, and intercultural dialogue.
Launched in 2010, United Nations Academic Impact Initiative (UNAI) aims at strengthening relationship between higher education institutions and United Nations by supporting ten universal principles, including human rights, global citizenship, sustainability, and a commitment to resolving conflicts.
Dr. Fadhil Al-Moussawi, Director of Academic Affairs Department, states that this achievement reflects the university’s participation in this initiative which represents an important step in its journey towards global excellence, enhancing its academic standing locally and internationally.
Keeping pace with directives of Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid Ali who is President of University of Kerbala regarding academic openness and development of strategic partnerships with global institutions, University of Kerbala attains a salient feature in its history, noting that United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) initiative includes thousands of universities and academic institutions so as to achieve sustainable development goals and actively enhance international academic cooperation.
