A Symposium in AMS titled as The Immunological Aspect of COVID-19

An online scientific symposium was held via zoom application by the department of Medical Laboratories in the AMS, titled as ” The Immunological Aspects of Covid-19″. The aim behind such symposium is to educate people about this pandemic and its immunological aspects. The lecturer, Asst. Prof. Hassan A. Hussain PhD, presented various points related to the topic under discussion. One of these points is the nature and the structure of coronavirus beside its kinds, immunological aspects and methods of diagnosing it. The lecturer continued demonstrating the most important immunological interferences of this virus and its impact upon infected patients. With the participation of 938 teaching staff members and researchers from different universities and institutes, the symposium ended with some recommendations, such as:

  • The Commitment with the preventative measurements specified by WHO.
  • The Ability of supplying health centers with CRISPR from well-known factories in the world to gain a better diagnosing in a shorter span of time.
  • Establishing Class 4 Laboratories for the sake of implementing experimental researches related to coronavirus.
  • The Financial and moral support are to be available for Iraqi researchers in this field of study.
  • The Exchanging of information with international universities and hospitals.
